Wii U: What the experience?

The Wii U has lowered it's price from $349.99 to $299.99 for a limited time. Although I've not been able to get my hands on it yet, I'm wondering what the Wii U is like. Tell me your experience. What do you like and dislike about it? Are you excited about the lowered price?
